8/21/13 update: Earl Marshall 100 Sellabration "The Sale of a Century"

Attention Angus Enthusiasts:
The Earl Marshall 100 Sellabration "The Sale of a Century" will be conducted in honor of Earl Marshall's 100th Birthday. This sale will take place on Tuesday September 3, 2013 at the Crawford County Fairgrounds which was formerly the W.A. McHenry Farm who was the breeder of Earl Marshall. This elite historic event not only honors and pays tribute to Earl Marshall but educates young and old breeders of the history and heritage of the breed. This annual event provides you the unique opportunity to acquire elite Angus genetics that will advance any herd.
At KM Cattle Company we are truly entering some of our best animals to date into "The Sale of a Century". These females and bull are certainly hard to let go of, however, they represent our program very well and we have the utmost confidence in them. KM Trustee- Sale Feature: Outstanding herd sire prospect sired by SydGen Trust 6228. Maternal brother to the ABS featured sire KM Broken Bow and maternal brother to the sale feature KM Complete Princess 059. The dam of this herd bull, "0P12" has been outstanding for us as she has raised several herd bulls that have gone into purebred herds. She records 6 BW@96, 6 WW@109, 6 YW@103, 18 IMF@103, 18 RE@101, 18 Fat@98. Trustee is a one of a kind calving ease sire (top 3% BW, top 4% CED) that also offers outstanding growth (top 1% WW), and carcass (top 2% Marbling and $B). KM Complete Princess 059- Sale Feature: Once in a lifetime opportunity to get in early on the ground floor of a flush sister to the popular ABS bull KM Broken Bow 002 and maternal sister to the sale feature KM Trustee. The dam of this female, "0P12" has been outstanding for us as she has raised several herd bulls that have gone into purebred herds.  KM Queen May 181- Sale Feature: This female is the best daughter to date of the newly acquired ABS Global sire KM Roughage Buster 93. Outstanding female from the powerful Queen May cow family. She offers a unique combination of calving ease, growth, and carcass. The dam of this female records 2 BW@92, 2 YW@107, 1 YW@107. Sells bred to the sale feature KM Trustee. 





R B Lady Equator 302-839- Sale Feature: A unique opportunity to get in on the ground floor of an own E.T. daughter of G D Lady Hi Flyer 302, the lady cow that started it all for Riley Bros in Wisconsin. “302” is the donor dam of the 6807 flush sisters (305, 308) who’s top selling progeny have dominated the National Western Angus Foundation Female Sale the last 3 years highlighted by the $50,000 top selling female in the 2013 sale- R B American Gal 890-250. Sons of these Lady’s have dominated the bull test scene highlighted by R B Tour of Duty 177, the $55,000 record selling bull at the MN Bull Test Sale and R B Active Duty 010, the $16,000 top selling bull at the 2011 National Western Bull Sale. 2 daughters of “839” are retained in the program and one heifer calf sold for $3,500 to Rock Creek Angus; and her best calf to date is the KM Roughage Buster 93 son who will be a feature of the KM offering next winter. She is bred back to Roughage Buster again due 2/26/14.


KM Lady 214-830 RB- Sale Feature: Powerful bred heifer sired by the ABS sire KM Roughage Buster 93. KM Queen May Design 935- Attractive daughter of the ABS sire known as “Bull Durham”, at Sitz. His sons have been the top selling sire group in several Sitz sales. Bull Durham is a top ten profitability bull through the Angus Sire Alliance with a +69.98 Total Profit Index. Dam is own daughter of “208” out of a full sister to KM Kruggerand Krush, the $12,000 top selling bull of the 2000 Iowa Beef Expo selling to Hewitt Bros. in MN, with interest later selling to JK Angus and Thorstenson’s of SD. She sells with a heifer calf at side sired by KM Better Answer 16.  She records 2 BW@97, 2 WW@101, 1 YW@101. Pasture exposed and bred to KM Obligation 256 (flush brother to the ORIgen sire KM Obligation 259).

KM 004 Blackcap Bess 659-This females pathfinder granddam was purchased as a bred heifer from Neil Smith’s Prairiedge Farm. She traces back to PK Pratt’s Blackcap Bessie’s that came from the Glencarnock Stock Farm in Ada, MN that traced to the Blackcap Bessie of Page from Hartley Stock Farm, Page, ND. Strong McHenry and Earl Marshall linebreeding helped to produce this truly unique and valuable old lineage of this powerful producing good looking cow that is a donor prospect. She records 4 WW@115 and 2 YW@108. She sells bred to KM Obligation 256 (flush brother to the ORIgen sire KM Obligation 259).




KM Krush Queen May 1- This direct daughter of KM Kruggerand Krush, the $12,000 top selling bull of the 2000 Iowa Beef Expo. She records 8 WW@102, 8 YW@104, 6 %IMF@105, 6 RE@100. She sells bred to KM Broken Bow 002 for a 2/14/14 calf.

KM Queen May 364- This February heifer calf sired by Koupal’s B&B Identity out of the above cow is a special one. The KM Queen May cow family speaks for itself. Identity is becoming one of the hottest bulls in the breed with his low birth to very high growth combination. He comes from a wonderful cow family of Bud Koupal’s. We fully expect this heifer to make a large contribution wherever she may go. Her dam records 8 WW@102, 8 YW@104, 6 %IMF@105, and 6 RE@100.
